New house, Brit Awards and Cardboard Boxes #LittleLoves

What a week!! This week has been absolutely crazy. As you may have read in last week’s post, we had confirmation from the estate agents for our house move. We were originally supposed to pick up the keys on Friday, but we actually ended up signing the contract and picking the keys up on Tuesday. It’s meant we could go over for a couple of hours in the morning before I start work and a couple of hours on the evening to give it a quick wipe down, and start unpacking a few boxes. I have the day off on Friday to move, and we are hiring a van on Saturday to move the furniture. Hopefully, by then we should be pretty much unpacked bar the big stuff!! However, that has meant that every second of spare time this week has been taken over with packing and cleaning, so this is a bit of a sparse post this week!!

Watched

We haven’t watched a lot of TV this week obviously, but I made sure I sat down to watch the Brit Awards. I’ve watched it every year that I can remember since I was 9 (and Take That did their last performance), so nothing was going to make me miss this one. There’s usually only one or two performances that I like, but I actually really liked them all, even Rihanna’s. Justin Bieber was fab, and Adele, as always, blew me away.

Read

The contract for the new house and Harrison’s school reading book – that’s about it this week!!

Heard

The noise of brown tape! Yes, that’s all I seem to be hearing at the moment. I also am still really loving this track by Jamie Lawson – and the video is so lovely!!

Wore

Work clothes! I’m rubbish at this section – must try harder to get photos next time. I have found some lovely clothes that I had forgotten I owned when  packing up, not to mention all my shoes and handbags. We have much better storage space in the new house so I will be able to see them all and get to them all now.

Made

A bit of a mess! Oh, and put together what seems to be thousands of cardboard boxes. Does that count?

And lastly…

The sun is shining! Even though it is incredibly cold, with the nights getting lighter and the sunshine you can almost feel spring in the air. I am really looking forward to having the patio doors open and sitting on our decking this year in the sunshine – I’ve convinced Graham to let me put fairy lights around the garden!

How was your week?

  1. Good luck with the move….
I really enjoyed The Brits too….Bieber was amazing.
Ahh! That Jamie Lawson song always makes me cry. He supported One Direction when my girl & I saw them last year and she was mortified I cried when he sung it. lol

  2. I wasn’t a fan of Rhianna’s performance – but then again, I really don’t like her. I was disappointed not to see a sign of Ed Sheeran at the Brits! I suppose he’s been quite quiet this year though… Hope the house move goes smoothly! x #LittleLoves

  3. Yes it is so much nicer when 5 o’clock rolls around and it isn’t dark, yippeee! Ahh cardboard boxes, sick of the sight yet? They make my hands feel so dry when I handle them, sucks the moisture out of them or something. Enjoy your weekend 🙂 #littleloves

  4. So excited about your move! I’m not surprised you’ve not had time for much else, preparing to move house is rather time consuming! haha Hope it’s all gone well xx
