What We Ate #1

One linky I’ve quite enjoyed reading posts for, but never joined in with is Meal Planning Monday. We are rarely organised enough to have any sort of meal plan, but I sometimes go over to the blog to see what other people are eating that week, to try and get some inspiration!

We tend to do our ‘big shop’ on a Wednesday at Tesco, and then get extra bits and pieces that we need like milk and bread throughout the week. We generally have an idea of what we will be eating that week, but we don’t set certain meals for certain days.

Anyway, this week I thought I would share with you (and will try and do it weekly, depending on how organised we are!) what we have been eating. I apologise in advance for the not so great photos. Food presentation and photography are not my strongest point!!

This was last week’s meals:

Wednesday: Pork chops, broccoli, cauliflower, mashed potato, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and gravy

Thursday: Slow cooker sausage casserole, sweet potato mash and roasted Mediterranean vegetables

Friday: Butter chicken and rice

Saturday: Homemade lasagne

Homemade lasagne. It’s not pretty, but tastes amazing! #food #dinner #whatiate #lasagne #foodporn

Sunday: Fish fingers, hash browns and beans (we had a very last minute day out at the seaside and didn’t get back until after 7pm – this was the quickest thing to throw in the oven!)

Monday: Chicken with rice and vegetables

Tuesday: Courgette and red pepper omlette with homemade chips and vegetables
