This year certainly is a summer full of sport, with the Euro’s, Wimbledon and the Olympics. Here, in this house, we are big football fans and watched most of the Euro games. I’m sure we will also be caught up in the Olympic hype – last time it was on I was on maternity leave with Harrison, and I was glued to the swimming and the gymnastics!
As part of our Bostik Blogger role, this month we have been thinking about sporting events, and how we can celebrate them. This really simple idea for sports medals came about after Harrison’s sports day at school. He didn’t win anything but definitely deserved a medal!
We went for something really simple and child – led this month. I simply cut out some trophy shapes on gold card, gave himm some sparkly jewels and let him loose with a tube of Bostik glue!
When he had finished going mad with the sparkly gems, I used the Bostik glue to attach a ribbon. It’s a really strong PVA, so once it had dried, the ribbon was secure enough for him to wear it around his neck. I think it’s super cute, and Harrison is really proud of it.
