If you are a regular reader of my blog, you may remember that a few months ago I took part in the SlimFast Challenge, and lost 10lbs in two weeks. I absolutely loved doing it, and managed to keep most of the weight off.
I was really impressed by the products that I tried – they all tasted really nice and I never felt hungry. I have a sweet tooth and loved the shakes and the meal replacement bars, but I also thought it would be quite nice if there was a savoury meal option as well. It turns out I wasn’t the only one that thought this, and so SlimFast have launched a new range of savoury noodle boxes.
The noodle boxes, which each contain less than 100 calories, come in three yummy flavours – chicken tikka masala, spicy thai and spaghetti bolognese. You simply pop them in the microwave for a couple of minutes and they are done. They even come with a handy disposable spoon, perfect for taking to work or out and about to keep you on track. Because they are so low in calories, they are great to have as a quick and easy hot snack, or as part of a main meal, perhaps with some vegetables or chicken. I had them for lunch with some fruit and found them surprisingly filling! They all had a great depth of flavour, ad the bolognese one tasted really meaty and substantial.
The seven day starter kit
SlimFast also sent me one of their brand new seven day starter kits. There is a huge choice of SlimFast products and this can be quite overwhelming if you are new to it. This box contains everything that you need to follow the 3-2-1 plan (3 snacks, 2 meal replacements and one healthy balanced meal) so that you can try all the products. They have also reduced the amount of sugar in the shakes and the meal replacement bars, which is great, with no noticeable compromise on the taste.
I lost almost 4lbs in just over a week, and it never felt like a diet. I know that in the future when I need a boost or to kick start some weight loss, I will definitely be going back to SlimFast.
