We’ve started doing some Christmas crafts this week, making the most of the time before Ben comes! We made these paper plate christmas trees last year before I started blogging, and we had lots of fun making them, so we’ve done them again!
Bits to decorate with
I cut up a paper plate into triangles. Obviously older kids can do this themselves!
The kids then painted them green.
Once they are dry, layer the triangles up one on top of the other so they slightly overlap, and stick them together. The next bit is the fun bit – decorate them!!!
We used bits and pieces we have in our art cupboard – bows, sequins, Christmas foam stickers, and these lovely glitter bow stickers from Baker Ross. These are brilliant for quick makes as you just peel the backing paper off and stick them down – no faffing!
Last year I used a hot glue gun to attach some string to the back to make them into tree decorations. We haven’t quite decided what to do with them this year – we might make lots more and turn them into a sort of bunting for the shelves!!
*We were sent the glitter stickers as part of a craft box from Baker Ross. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
