Nursery Thermometer Review and Giveaway

One thing I am always concious about since having children is the temperature of the house. I sometimes wonder if I have my own personal central heating system, as I’m always really warm even when everyone else is dithering. It’s a bit of a bone of contention in our house. Graham turns the heating up, I turn it down. He thinks it is too cold for the kids, I think it is too warm. I know that the recommended temperature is about 17 – 20°c, but we never know when is that temperature.

When Electronic Temperature Instruments Ltd got in touch and asked if we wanted to review one of their nursery thermometers, we jumped at the chance. Maybe we could finally find the right temperature in order for us to all be comfortable!

This handy little gadget not only measures and displays the temperature, but the humidity as well, which is really useful when you have kids. The large LCD display is clear and easy to read, with an analogue arrow indicator and colour code to show you whether the room is too cold, too hot or just right. Turns out quite often our house is too hot!!

There’s a foldaway stand so that it can be popped on a shelf in the lounge or in baby’s room, or hung from the keyhole slot in the back.

  1. A must have home item is a video baby monitor!! No better feeling than knowing your little one is safe in their bed without disturbing them

  2. My husband and I were just talking about this the other day and we said a thermometer! lol, this comp’s just in time 😀 Thank you so much for the opportunity x

  3. I’d say a smoke alarm, but i’m not quite sure that’s a gadget as opposed to a life-saving essential, so I’ll say an energy meter for the electric xx

  4. I thinks this is a smoke alarm, but i’m not quite sure that’s a gadget as opposed to a life-saving essential, so I’ll say an energy meter for the electric xx

  5. A good quality smoke and carbon monoxide alarms – once I had my baby, I had the CM professionally installed as already had the fire/smoke ones.

  6. You’ve got to start with the basics, so a fast broadband connection and router is a must.

  7. my daughter’s room seems to be a bit cold sometimes – it would be great to know exactly what temperature it has

  8. Video baby monitors are fab and they gave me so much peace of mind that I could see my baby was ok!
