Lovely Things: June

Lovely Things: June

I love this linky hosted by Laura at Laura’s Lovely Blog. It reminds me to look back at the previous month (see May’s post here), and think about all the lovely things that have happened. June was a particularly lovely month for us.

It started off on a lovely high, as after almost a year and a half without one, we finally bought a car. It’s a 51 plate Vauxhall Zafira, so nothing new or flash, but it gives us so much more freedom.

Because of the car, we have managed to have some lovely days out, including a day in Bewdley where we watched the carnival and popped in to see my friend and fellow blogger Julie from Menopause 4 Thought. We also went to Kingsbury Water Park and had a fab day, which you can read about here. We went on the miniature steam train, fed the ducks and walked around the lakes.

Mid June was Harrison’s 4th birthday. He wasn’t very well on his actual birthday but we had a lovely little tea party on the weekend. He loved his trampoline, scooter and sand table!

The absolute highlight of our month was our lovely last minute break to Bluestone in Wales. I have a weeks worth of posts about our stay there – it was magical!

    1. They’re such good cars – and perfect size for us all!

  1. It makes a difference having a car coz we can explore wherever we want, I don’t have my own car too… That’s why I’m happy when hubby is off work so he can drive us everywhere. Good Post!

  2. Congrats on the car – I’m not sure I would cope without one so you have done well. What fabulous photos and happy birthday to Harrison 🙂
We went to Bluestone in March – it’s awesome isn’t such a great place for families we’re thinking of going back for a weekend next year if we can manage it.
    Thanks for linking up x

  3. Lovely about your car; being able to get out and about easily really does make a difference, doesn’t it. I’m sure your Harrison is feeling better now; happy belated birthday to him. #CommentLuv
