I’ve never really been a big lottery player. I’ve never won and I’m terrible for losing tickets or forgetting to check them. I like the odd scratchcard, but again, they end up in the bottom of my handbag or put on the side, never to be seen again. When Lottoland got in touch and asked me to review their website, I was keen to give it a go. It’s all online, so no risk of losing my tickets, and even better, gave me access to all sorts of different lotteries that I might not otherwise have played – for example, the Irish lottery or the American Powerball lottery, which had a £1 billion jackpot earlier this year – can you just imagine winning that sort of money?!
I assumed it was just a way if buying and consolidating all of the lottery tickets and scratchcards in one place, but it’s actually a little different. It’s actually lotto betting, which I had never come across before, but it’s pretty straightforward. You’re not actually buying a ticket for the draws, but you are making a bet on the lottery draws. Lottoland then matches the prizes of the official lottery operators.
It’s really simple to use. You choose the lotteries you want to bet on (I chose the Euromillions and the Irish Lottery), select your numbers and wait for the draw. I was lucky, winning a few quid on the Irish Lottery – fingers crossed for the Euromillions tonight! I also bought a few of the scratch cards and won a couple of quid on those.
I think we will definitely be using the Lottoland website again. I loved how easy it was to use and understand, and the fact we can have a go at all sorts of lotteries and scratch cards and ‘keep’ them all in one place. I’m just hoping that when I have a look later after the Euromillions, there will be a few million quid sitting in my account! After all, you’ve got to be in it to win it!!
