Easter Egg Potato Printing

easter egg potato printing

When I opened the cupboard the other day I found half a bag of potatoes that weren’t going exactly at their best, so we used to them to have a go at making Easter egg potato stamps!

I cut each potato in half and used a sharp knife to cut out some designs. This is actually quite tricky!

I then put out some paint on paper plates, and then we dipped the potato into the paint and then pressed it against the paper to leave a print.

I think they look pretty good!

If you taped a roll of lining paper down to the table and printed all over it you could make some really unique Easter wrapping paper

Whilst the kids were napping, I had a go at using a paintbrush to paint the potato so you could use more colours.
