We look forward to our Degustabox being delivered every month, and this month it came just a couple of days after we came back from our holiday, which was a bonus. If you haven’t heard of Degustabox before, it’s a monthly food and drink subscription box, costing £12.99. The products in the box vary every month, and it’s a great way to try out new things without breaking the bank.
What was in August’s Degustabox?
Rakusen’s Snackers – RRP £1.29 for the plain, £1.49 for the gluten free
These came in two options, plain and gluten free. They’re less than 1% fat and have just 7 calories per cracker, so they’re a guilt-free snack. We’ve enjoyed them both on their own and with cream cheese spread on them.
Willy Chase’s Fit Corn – RRP £2.19
This popcorn comes in 4 different flavours. We had the smoky bloody mary flavour, which sounded interesting. When we actually tasted it, neither Graham or I were particularly keen on it, but I think the other flavours sound really nice.
Tabasco Sweet and Sticky Barbecue Sauce – RRP £1.99
We haven’t used this yet, but it sounds absolutely delicious and we are going to use it this weekend with chicken!
Clipper Lime and Ginger Green Tea – RRP £1.59
In the past few weeks, I’ve made a huge effort to reduce the amount of caffeine I drink. I’m down to drinking just one coffee a day (unless we are out). I’m still drinking a fair bit of tea, and this makes a nice change from a normal cuppa, especially as the weather has been nice!
Aromatic Thai Noodles Nutripot – RRP £2.49
I was really looking forward to trying this – a healthy and really quick meal on the go. All it needed was some hot water, and it contains 50%of the 28 vitamins and minerals that your body needs every day. Unfortunately, I wasn’t really a fan of it – I found the texture of the noodles quite strange.
Moroccan Cous Cous Nutripot – RRP £2.49
I was a bit apprehensive about trying this one as I didn’t like the noodle one, but I actually really enjoyed it! It kept me full from lunchtime until I had my dinner, so great if you’re trying to cut out snacking!
Dorset Cereals Bircher Museli – RRP £3.49
Museli is by far my favourite breakfast cereal, and this one was delicious! It was really creamy and tangy. I’m going to use it to make overnight oats later this week, and perhaps some homemade muesli bars.
Get More Multivitamins Drink – £1.45
This is available in 6 flavours. We had the sparkling lemon and lime which was really refreshing and zingy. It’s full of vitamins and was perfect in the afternoon when I felt like I needed a bit of a boost!
Oloves – RRP £1.00
Olives are one of my all-time favourite foods. I absolutely love them. It’s really hard to take them out and about though for a snack. These little packs are brilliant for picnics or just chucking in my bag, and are absolutely delicious. They are seasoned with chilli, garlic and oregano, and have the stones removed.
Mahou Cinco Estrellas – RRP £1.20
This is an international premium lager from Madrid. Graham had it on one of the lovely warm evenings we have had recently, and he said it was really nice and smooth.
Geeta’s Curry Pastes – 2 x £1.00
We received Rogan Josh and Tikka Curry pastes. These are the perfect bases for a quick and easy curry at home.
As always, we really enjoyed this month’s Degustabox. I think it’s excellent value for £12.99, and even better, you can get £7 off by using the code BLDEG15!
