Butterfly Life Cycle Plate

One of the most read books in our house is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The boys love reading it and talking about how the caterpillar transforms into a beautiful butterfly. When our latest Bostik Blogger box came with the theme of ‘mini beasts’, I knew that we would just have to do something linked to the book.

Draw lines with a marker pen to divide the plate into four

Use the Bostik glue dots to attach an artificial leaf to one of the sections.

Screw up a small piece of tissue paper into a little ball. Attach it to the leaf using a glue dot.

Wrap two coloured pipe cleaners around each other and stick to a leaf in the next section using a glue dot to make a caterpillar.

Using a brown pen. draw a twig shape on the next section and twist the ends of a folded piece of tissue paper to make a chrysalis. Attach to the plate using glue dots.

In the final section, add one of the felt butterfly stickers!
